We are currently seeking a Permit Supervisor to join our dynamic Team. This role provides direction for work involving considerable customer contact for a major Telecommunications Infrastructure Project in the Seattle Area.
Job Summary
The Permit Supervisor supports the General Manager and is ultimately responsible for coordinating, processing, and acquiring all permits required to facilitate the expansion of the telecommunications network. This will typically involve providing instruction to additional coworkers to complete tasks and a strong attention to detail/grammar/spelling is required. The employee will be well trained in the telecommunications and/or utility infrastructure industry and be able to utilize practical production knowledge which is critical to ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of deliverables to the regulatory agencies and back to the field for utilization. A strong candidate will be well-versed in local permitting protocols, requirements and procedures and will be the link between engineering, design, construction and the PMO.
Review, coordinate, process and verify compliance with rules, regulations and legal requirements applicable with permits required from approving agencies for water and wastewater infrastructure projects;
Relay all applicable jurisdictional requirements to the Design/Drafting Manager to support the department's ability to complete plan sets accurately and efficiently;
Prepare timeline schedules for obtaining approved permits from agencies and distribute to project managers and engineers for reporting purposes;
Research and obtain required permit data such as plans, quantities, statements, etc. which also requires the building of relationships and coordination with local jurisdictional representatives;
Confer with the Design Manager, project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy of project data;
Review permitting documentation prepared by the Permit Specialist and Design Department to ensure accurate and complete packages are submitted
Communicate with permit approving agencies as required to confirm timelines and proper procedures and documentation are met;
Participate in weekly calls to report on permitting activities, challenges and roadblocks, providing information on how all issues are being addressed and the time frame for resolution.
Track all documents associated with the permit process from initial review through final permit approval to ensure timelines/schedules are met and to provide timely follow-up as required;
Manage all documents associated with the project permit process from initial review through final permit approval;
High School diploma;
3 years' experience coordinating, processing, and acquiring required permits from approving agencies for Telecommunications infrastructure projects;
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and related documents;
Working knowledge of engineering practices, designs, and standards pertaining to infrastructure projects;
Working knowledge of permit approving agencies policies and procedures for the permit approval process for water and wastewater infrastructure projects;
Ability to utilize external database systems to research and obtain required permit data and submit permit applications to approving agencies;
Experience using software applications such as Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook;
Ability to deal tactfully and communicate effectively, verbally or in writing, with project managers, engineers and permit approving agency officials to discuss or resolve permit related problems;
Ability to multi-task with ease and properly address competing priorities, taking the initiative to organize data and information as necessary for later use.
MasTec prefers, but does not require, that candidates have experience in the local area;
Prior work associated with the cable, wireless, cellular, or other utility infrastructure industries.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
