The training period of the program is 5-6 weeks in length depending on holiday closures.

Qualifications:
o High School Diploma/GED Requiredo 18 years of age or oldero Previous patient care or customer service experience preferred but not required.
o Nursing Assistant Registered Licensure is to be obtained from the Department of Health within 4 weeks of hire (during the training period).
MultiCare will reimburse for this cost.
o CPR Certification is to be obtained within 2 weeks of hire (during the training period) MultiCare will pay for this cost.
Essential Duties & Responsibilitieso Maintain patient confidentialityo Perform duties as assigned in an accurate and timely mannero Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skillso Decisions regarding patient care or services require review and approval of RNo The ability to work as a team and independentlyo Dealing with bodily fluids, and the possibility of working around those with contagious diseaseso Demonstrates initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability, and flexibilityo Adhere to standards and procedures of the organizationo Work and communicate within a professional mannero This position requires prolonged standing and walking each shifto Maintain regular and consistent attendanceo Working in a hospital setting does require the possibility of working weekends and holidaysPay &

This is a paid, benefits eligible position.
Benefits are effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment at MultiCare.
MultiCare will pay the cost of the following items:
o Nursing Assistant Registered and Nurse Assistant Certified Licensureo CPR Certificationo Nursing Assistant Certified written and skills exam (First attempt only)Supplies:
For classroom instruction you will need:
o Access to Wi-Fi for classroom assignments/homeworko Scrubs (also needed for clinical instruction)o Watch with a second hando Proper Shoes (crocs are NOT permitted)Program Schedule:
If extended an offer, the schedule during the training program will be:
o Monday-Friday, which includes clinical training and classroom timeo The position is a.
8 FTE (32 hours/week)Potential schedules will be 8:
00am-4:
30pm or variable shifts with class time from 4:
00pm-9:
30pm.
o Candidates should be prepared to dedicate 40 hours a week towards clinical time, classroom time, and homework.
This includes 32 hours of work/class time and 8 hours of homework/study time each week.
After Training:
o Once training is completed and licensure has been obtained your schedule will change to 12-hour shifts (three days a week on a rotating schedule).

Functions include basic patient care activities and customer service-oriented delivery of care to patients as defined by the nursing assistant skills competency evaluation checklist.
This position requires a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of supporting the delivery of care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups.
Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties.
Decisions regarding patient care or services require the review and approval of the Registered Nurse.
Internal contact may include patient care, Laboratory, and Pharmacy staff and management.
External contacts include physicians, patients, families, and visitors.
